One chilling thought. We may be seeing the first of multiple waves of the Wuhan coronavirus. Victims of the 1918 flu's "second wave" experienced their first symptoms and took their last breath all in the same day.Not saying that's what's going on here, but we'll know soon enough. That's when the real panic sets in.
The death rates appear to be 3% consistently.
And that includes Italy.
.
Mortality rates where deaths have occurred.
Japan
1.05% (excellent healthcare)
South Korea
0.96% (excellent healthcare)
Italy
2.64% (bad healthcare)
China
3.50% (terrible healthcare)
Iran
13.66% (one of the worst healthcare systems in the world)
Another thing to remember with regards to mortality rates...
They are based on the amount of people who have been ‘diagnosed’ with the disease and then died. Not everybody who gets a flu runs to their doctor or hospital, so if you consider that it’s likely that less than half of those who actually get the virus will seek medical help. The amount of people stricken is typically much higher than the amount diagnosed so the mortality rate is even lower than advertised in most cases.
