Bloomberg’s 2016 comments degrading farmers are totally off-base
Fox News ^ | February 18, 2020 | John R. Lott, Jr

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s campaign slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders I-Vt. for circulating a 2016 video of Bloomberg’s comments on farming in which he said, “You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn.”. Bloomberg’s campaign manager Kevin Sheekey said that the comments were “completely out of context.”

The problem is that the rest of Bloomberg’s comments don’t help him. Take his comparison to the information economy.

“Now comes the information economy and the information economy is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different. You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.”

(HAT TIP AMERICAN THINKER)

A YouTube video of Bloomberg speaking at Oxford Dec 2016 reveals much about Bloomberg’s beliefs and thinking:
<><> he is dismissive of the working class,
<><> he sees the average guy as an ignoramus,
<><> the working class are unintelligent, unable to find useful work in the technological age.

Bloomberg considers himself the crown prince....a member of an intellectual elite.

Those working class types (voters) he deplores are paying close attention.

They quickly grasp his real opinion of them and they are unlikely to vote for someone
who sees them as serfs in need of the noble guidance and patronage from know-it-all Bloomberg.

I would defy that moron to plant and harvest 10 acres of corn. Not even referring to the physical labor, or what he could hire someone to do. But give him less than 10k in a bank account and tell him to produce 10 acres of corn.

Laughable.

I can teach anyone how to be elected president. You announce you’re running, you pick a party, you spend a billion dollars on commercials, up come the votes.

Funny... all the reports about how complicated it is to be a farmer include meteorology, agronomy, GPS, business management, etc...I spend most of my time fixing broken crap.

Nobody includes "maintenance" in the list of stuff I have to know.

The “Robert McNamara” of farming—— what an octomaroon!

SOB is a tech weenie version, with mechanized robotized views of things he has zero knowledge about-— except of course his large holdings with Goldman Sachs-— whose “global warming/ climate change” globalist investment and creation of the “carbon commodity credits” market in ChicagoExchange (quickly shut down once the science, real science exposed their LIES) is directly linked to his bullcrap views of “appropriate” farming micromanagement,as is the continuing idiocy of the shrinking EU and WorldBank.

Just go the hell away bloomie butt, and take your “engineering” degree with you-— bring it to Jimmah Cahtah the “nuclear engineer” (he did not graduate from USNA with that degree, and minimal service in subs).

How stupid that statement is, is obvious to anyone who has ever tried it.

1566 in Italy, Camillo Torello patented the first seed drill for planting seeds. Jethro Tull refined it in 1701 in England.

And that was even before their first album!

Democrats in 2020.

—Farmers are stupid, any idiot can dig a hole and put corn seed in it.
—Fidel Castro was a really good guy, he help make Cuba a great placr.
—Two guys can be married and have a baby in the White House.
—A woman lies about her Indian heritage, profits from the lie and its ok.
—The same woman gets paid $350,000 to teach one college class, then complains about the cost of college.
—A candidate gets mad and challenges a 83 farmer to a push up contest

A slight update:
Democrats in 2020.

—Farmers are stupid, any idiot can dig a hole and put corn seed in it.
—Fidel Castro was a really good guy, he help make Cuba a great plaer.
—Two guys can be married and have a baby in the White House.
—A woman lies about her Indian heritage, profits from the lie and its ok.
—The same woman gets paid $350,000 to teach one college class, then complains about the cost of college.
—A candidate gets mad and challenges a 83 year old farmer to a push up contest
—A Socialist candidate who has never had a job outside government and rails against the “rich”. Now he just complains about billionaires as he is a millionaire .
That Socialist candidate does his complaining from one of his 3 houses.
