No Carville is not stupid. But his advice to politicians of a liberal stripe seems to be “Lie to the public”. Then after you get elected, you can start crafting policies about things that you refused to talk frankly about in the campaign. This is why we have a crisis of government every time a Dem gets elected to the White House. They claim a great “mandate” on election night, then they dump most things that they ran on and start tinkering with things they refused to take a position on. Clinton did it. Obama did it.
Exactly. He knows what he’s talking about. I think he’s right. This isn’t about Bernie winning. This is about Bernie laying the groundwork for a younger socialist contender in ‘24
