This is troublesome. I always buy BP gas, it is the best fuel around.

Not all BP stations sell BP gasoline nor are they owned by BP.
Station owners agree to take a certain amount of product from BP in return for canopy and signage.

It seems that we agree on all counts. I believe we are witnessing the suicide of Western civilization.

The seem to have sold their souls to the devil. They should seek a different affiliation.

Years ago the company I worked for did a study on buying the Holiday chain in Minnesota and Wisconsin. We hired two prominent survey companies to examine the market we served with wholesale supply.
The study incidentally found some surprising facts about Amoco; The brand attracted more women drivers which translated into added grocery sales. Amoco could charge $.02 to $.03 per gallon over competing Holiday and Murphy stations. The canopy and lighting made the Amoco stations stand out vs. competitors... The first thing BP did was to destroy the Amoco brand. Genius !
