As Anthony Hopkins says so wisely, actors are not particularly bright people because intellect is not a requirement of the job.

Given this, actors would be well-served to realize that they should keep their mouths shut unless and until they are called upon to discuss their craft.

Unfortunately, because they sometimes command attention due to their fame, they think, falsely, that they can use their megaphone to spout their beliefs when their beliefs are actually no better thought out than those of the next fellow.
