Lawmakers in both parties on Tuesday expressed growing alarm that the threat of coronavirus in the United States is serious, and that the Trump administration is not doing enough to fight it.

Turning into a political football that's for sure.

Good news, is the Democrats want to give Trump more money than was asked for.

Bad news, is they are going to argue about how much until the crisis is over.

Bad news, is Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar seems resigned to having it spread in the US, and doesn't seem willing to increase travel restrictions.

Good news, is we have 30 million masks in storage, up from the last figure I heard of 1 million.

Bad news, we need 300 million masks.

Another Freeper on another thread said the hospitals were shipping all masks in excess of a 6 month supply to China.

Not enough graft in the budget for Shelby?

That's what the media and the dims will try to make it out to be.

Let some people die....the markets continue to lose....and you've got the narrative right there.

The economic impact will be devastating. The issue has to do with supply chains currently going back and forth between the NAFTA countries. In theory, you could move the Mexican plants, but that takes time. Land has to be purchased/leased, building permits have to be obtained, people have to be hired, zoning has to be clarified/changed, etc. Given the polls in November, care should be taken to limit the economic fallout from what, so far, is a pale shadow of the flu in terms of the number of dead.

Shelby needs to get a clue. we are 10 months from the election. The rats are desperate now, he’s a jerk for saying this publicly. This sound bite will be in every MSM broadcast. If you have a problem use the back channels idiot.

Inaction, talk, throw money around, while everything burns around us. How about action? Shut the borders, lengthen quarantine if medically advised, and facilitate companies to shift production back to the US. Action!

‘The Hill’ grabbing headlines.

The President has taken dozens of actions and taking more as we speak.

Meanwhile. most of those infected are recovering but you won’t see that in any fake news headlines.

“Another Freeper on another thread said the hospitals were shipping all masks in excess of a 6 month supply to China. “

So the Chinese nationalized the 3M mask factory in China and we’re shipping them masks and screw the American people?
