The first thing to understand about socialists is that they lie. Big bold face lies. And that they do it all the time.

Speaking of wacky do the Democrat hopefuls remind anyone else of the Anthill Mob, only if working to help Dick Dastardly rather than Penolope Pittstop?

***I have supported for like 30 years – is ban the sale and distribution of assault weapons in this country.”***

Well his timetable is correct. Since 1962 the cry was they only wanted to “register and later ban HANDGUNS. Rifles would not be affected!”

Then when they could not get a handgun ban passed, about 36 years ago they made a grab for the rifles, and missed. 32 years ago is when Josh Sugarmann came out with his way to ban semi-auto rifles.

“Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons —anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun— can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.”

– Josh Sugarmann

They played their hand, and we know we are always up against a stacked deck.

I was with a good friend at a business event who was convinced automatic weapons were the problem. She’s otherwise very smart. I was a few drinks in and decided not to engage in an argument. It reminded me what we are up against. Serious disinformation and heading nodding on policies already in place.

"Number one: we need universal background checks. People who have a violent past, including domestic violence, should not be owning guns," he said.

Already covered under 18 U.S. Code § 922 (g)(9)

"Number two: we have to end the so-called 'gun show loophole,' which allows people to legally purchase guns while avoiding a background check."

Already covered under 18 U.S. Code § 922 (c)

"Number three: we gotta end the so-called 'strawman provision,' which allows you to walk in, buy as many guns as you want, and then sell them to gangs and criminal elements," Sanders explained.

Already covered under felony purgery on ATF Form 4473

"Number four: what we gotta do – and something that I have supported for like 30 years – is ban the sale and distribution of assault weapons in this country."

Already tried from 1995 to 2005 under the Clinton Assault Weapon Ban and even the liberal publication ProPublica said had no effect crime rates.

We already have more than enough "reasonable gun laws" on the books. What we need is reasonable enforcement of the existing laws.

That's actually called the "Obama-Holder Fast and Furious provision".

That is when a copy of a chart I recently saw would come in handy. It showed killings by type of weapon. Rifles were way behind clubs, fists and feet.

I’m doing the same here in TX. I was disappointed to learn that I cannot wear my Trump 2020 t-shirt while declaring myself to be a Democrap. I was really looking forward to seeing the looks on peoples’ faces.
