Oh I completely agree. It appears you can struggle with the virus for quite a while, seemingly get better and then it kick up again. I suspect this is what is happening. However, if exposed to a virus in high enough concentrations even after just getting over it I am sure you can come down with it again. And living packed like rats in high-rises in China this might be the case.
The least likely case is you can rid yourself of this virus (remember, in order to do so your immune system had to mount a counter attack and win otherwise you die) only to be exposed and your immune system forget how to fight it so quickly? No, that is the least likely scenario. I would put it at a very very high chance that "you can catch it back to back" is not true.

Note what the article points out about the 4 coronaviruses that cause colds. Humans do not develop immunity after being sick (if only moderately so) with a cold virus.
