Let's say it's the low number of 40%.

Dallas Ft Worth has 7,690,420 people.

20% of the infected so far have been severe cases, requiring hospitalization and 5% have been critical, requiring ICU.

Let's cut the numbers in half.

Let's say only 20% of DFW gets it. 10% of those are severe and 2.5% are critical. That's 38,452 ICU beds that we need.

There are about 1,500 ICU beds in the region.

The only way to fix that is with a wartime mentality. The same effort with which the nation quickly built up its armed forces after Pearl Harbor.

Costly in the short run, but great preparation for the future. This virus won't be the last pandemic of the century, for sure.
