If they want Bernie out this could go one of two ways.

#1 is that they take advantage of his fondness for Dachas in the countryside in the manner of the Soviet leaders he wishes to emulate, and Bloomberg cuts him a big friggin’ check to go away.

#2 is that he’s so captivated with his potential place in history as having played a key role in turning the USA socialist that when they screw him over at the convention he stages a third-party run and takes all of his supporters with him. At 78 he has little to lose, and when Bloomberg comes in a distant 3rd. the socialists will have effectively won their battle over the moderates within the Dem Party.

Hard to read where his head is right now.

#1: Money to get Bernie out? No way, POWER is worth any number Bloomberg could throw out. The left would even be satisfied with the power they taste in the run up to the Election even if they go down in flames.

#2: Dilute Bernie as much as possible and force a brokered convention? They would be smarter to get behind Bernie and "go for it". That is what I expect will happen after Super Tuesday.
