There is no evidence that AOC has any popularity whatsoever. She is a media creation. She won a primary in a heavily democrat (and latino) district against an old white guy. At that point, the seat was hers, since Republicans have no chance there. There is no evidence at all that her support is any greater than ~20% of the Democratic party (which makes up ~30% of registered voters, which are, I believe, about 1/2 of all adults). So her support might be about 3% of the population as a whole. That is probably an exaggeration, because her name recognition alone is a max of 20% (most people don't follow politics that heavily).

She is not popular. Trump is popular. AOC is the gunk on the bottom of your shoe. If you happen to notice her, she is a mild irritant, nothing more.
