“I’m confused. Bernie is the preferred choice to run against Trump by conservatives. Why is that”

The American electorate is right of center. You can’t get much to the Left of Bernie, although the other candidates are trying. Even the Democrats see Bernie as a disaster in the making. To win, Bernie would require a record turnout of his base and the middle. Typically, the Democratic winner campaigns on the Left and then tact’s center for the main event. That is not possible for Bernie. So, the middle voters will not turn out for him.

The Democratic caucus turnout is anemic. In Nevada just 100,000 voted when the state has over 3.5 million. The turnout was significantly down from 2016.

On the personality side, Bernie makes Trump look like Robin Williams. Trump is already well above average on the personality and likability scales while Bernie is the angry old man shaking his cane at kids and yelling for them to get off his lawn.

Personally, I would like to see the Democrats nominate someone reasonable, in case a meteor hits and he wins. I think the last good Democratic candidate was Truman. They no longer have “reasonable” in their DNA.

Imho _all_ of the Democratic candidates are crazy and dangerous.

_All_ of them, no exceptions.

They hate us, they want to take our stuff, they want to regulate us to death, they want to open the borders and create economic incentives for illegal aliens to invade.

They all are quite capable of turning this country into a third world dystopia.

_All_ of them, no exceptions.
