It does not matter if the rest of the nation “hates” Schumer, Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Waters and the rest, it only matters that the voters in their district likes them.
The Democrats understand this. They pander to whatever majority is in a particular district. The reason, it is a matter of numbers. Which ever party has the most members rules the House or the Senate.
So someone like Waters can be dumb as a post but the DNC does not care, all she is is a number in the Democrat column and one less number in the Republican column.
The Democrats are not going to get rid of any of them (except perhaps AOC who challenged the status quo.)
It is not the individual members that is the problem for the Democrats, it is their vision for America. Bottom line middle America does not share their vision.
For many years the Democrats were able to hide (with the help of the media) their socialist plans but now it is all out there exposed to the world.
The first step on the road of recovery would be to replace Pelosi as speaker with someone with a little more (people) skill, someone that can hide their left views and appear moderate but is there any Democrat in the House that meets those criteria? I don’t know. For now they are sinking faster then the Titanic after hitting the iceberg Trump.
A little known fact is that the SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE does not have to be a member of the house.
