I think you’d be shocked at how quickly and efficiently we can again “insource” anything we put our minds to. Things may become more expensive, but WW II showed us we can do these kinds of things in a hurry.

Well, lucky you, that you don’t take ANY Rx meds or vitamin supplements.
80% of ALL of our Rx meds are made in China and 90% of our antibiotics are made there.
Most vitamin supplement COMPONENTS are also Made in China.
This is not new. Very old news, in fact.
One of our most important commodities and necessitaties ( for MANY Americans, but, again, luckily not you) was sold to the lowest bidder (so Big Pharma and others could increase their profits), YEARS AGO.
Several folks have tried sounding the alarm, only to be smeared, or shut down, by TPTB.

All we get here is inferior Chinese made products and domestic crap food. Rock hard engineered fruit and produce. Tasteless beef and poultry. Mushy farm fish. I don’t buy farmed fish, engineered fruit and only buy/raise grass fed/finished beef, and pastured eggs.
Maybe YOU should stop complaining, and try to be part of the solution (lobby Congress as hard as these Made in China lobbyists are), shop and source BETTER quality items, or, like I said...move to EU.
Also, many of the components of the products made in EU (clothing, for example) are imported to EU, from.....China :- /
