A little birdie once said that, back in the early 2000s, the four liberal justices on the court at the time had an unwritten agreement that they would stick together on certain things. Wouldnt surprise me if something similar still exists although little birdies have not said as such.
Beyond that, the left controls the media and the legal community. They praise conservatives that go left and severely criticize those that dont. Weak people (or those with big egos) are easily manipulated by such folk.
“eventually, it will become technically possible to actually change ones biological sex at the genetic / molecular level”
At which point they really will be women or men or both or neither (whichever they change to).
Of course, at that point it will be simple to engineer whichever traits a person deems desirable, replenish telomeres and do what ever else is required for virtual immortality. Physical accomplishments, athletic records, savant-like abilities, all trivially achievable.
But that is going to be at least a few years off...
Feminism has been an unchecked cancer.
This won't end until feminism is solely for the maligned, ostracized freaks, instead of being the "default position" of "sensible women."
I can’t help but wonder who sees that these rumors are so quick to form and widely circulate. Anyone else find it too much of coincidence that “tales” of betrayal by high profile conservatives have been coming one after another lately? This is by design.
Whatever your so-called strategy, the bottom line is you want my conservative granddaughter to have to compete against biological boys in school sports. So as a practical matter, you are pushing the policy of the leftist feminists. You want their policy imposed on the girls of my family and all other families in the country.
The feminists love conservatives like you , who help them implement their goals
It will never be possible to take a grown man and change his DNA to a grown woman. Not even with sourcery.
Let’s go back to the good old days where where we just have one sports team except anybody can join if they can make the cut, boys girls trannies come one come all. No more of the nonsense of wasting money and resources on two entire sets of seperate teams. If a chick makes the cut fine, if not too bad, same with the boys. The progs won’t be able to backpedal their way out of this one.
Men are powerless in the States and Western Europe. No politician DARE cross the feminists: look how Fox News tried to take out Donald Trump twice -- first during the first debate, then when he was approaching the nomination.
Me-Again Kelly "you hate women" and then the Access Hollywood "Grab 'em by the Kitty" tape.
Try harder. The Woke and the Feminists won't listen to us cis-het white Christian men.
Then no more sports for women, since they cant compete at the same level as men. Except for the rare freak of nature, The only opportunities for them are women-only sports
FAKE NEWS!!!!!
Too bad then, they can always still play sports for fun or if a private themed franchise can support itself and avoid government regs but its high time men’s teams stopped carrying womens teams nobody cares about. This is the most logical solution to the tranny dilemma. Other than just ignoring the whining of course.
Patriots are reminded that the only power that the states have expressly constitutionally given the feds to make laws that protect citizens on the basis of sex is limited to voting rights issues, evidenced by the 19th Amendment.
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation [emphasis added]."
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
So President Johnson and the Democratic-controlled 88th Congress didnt have the express constitutional power to make probably most of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its titles imo.
In other words, post-17th Amendment ratification career lawmakers probably made that act to exploit a target of voters by winning their votes to help them stay in power imo.
So not only do the feds not have the express constitutional power to make politically correct LGBT protections, again, they dont have the power to make sex-related protection laws outside the scope of voting rights issues imo.
Also, politically correct cases like this Title VII issue are compromising the 5th Amendment right to a speedy trial for other cases in the queue imo.
Insights welcome.
Remember in November!
MAGA, now KAGA! (Keep America Great Always!)
Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA will effectively give fast-working PDJT a third term in office imo.
They have, it is just extremely extremely rare
Or in a safer case where the conservatives had the case sealed up.
A distinction must be made between defecting occasionally and defecting habitually.
Liberals do defect on occasion because even a man (or woman https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFBOQzSk14c link to appropriate scene out of the Life of Brian) who is not virtuous may still do virtuous acts on occasion as everyone does desire the good and unless someone has reached the point of total depravity they will still manage to do the good occasionally even if they are largely messed up mentally.
I do not believe that a liberal has ever defected to the conservative side habitually because the sorts of people appointed to the Supreme Court are well-formed in intellectual habits. People who have deranged intellectual habits are nearly impossible to fix. People who have fairly good intellectual habits with a few flaws will look good at first glance, but when under pressure will wither work out those flaws, which will largely go unnoticed as the flaws were not particularly noticeable to the outside observer at the beginning and the corrections are made in such a way that no major errors are noticed as they work through their problems largely as they arise (Justice Thomas I would argue is a classic example, and someone who has grown as a conservative) or they fail to work out some of these flaws, in which case they “grow” in the sense that Souter grew and Gorsuch is likely to grow.
I don’t trust ex-Catholics of an intellectual bent unless they were only superficially Catholic in their early youth..
You’re quite wrong. I’ll just leave it at that, since it’s quite clear you have no idea what you’re talking about, and will be impervious to being proven wrong.
I am just going to wait until it does or doesn’t happen before I pop a gasket.
“I dont trust ex-Catholics of an intellectual bent unless they were only superficially Catholic in their early youth..”
Yes, Jesuits are the worst!
Can you imagine Dope Pope in the supreme court?
Pimping is posting an excerpt so you have to give the blog a click to read the whole thing. This one is just blog posting.
There is a book that I use as a textbook whose editor was a Jesuit who left the order just before ordination and just before completing his doctorate at Harvard.
Many years ago he gave an interview which contains the wonderful line “I was raised a Catholic and then I became a Jesuit.”
I do personally know a couple of living Jesuits whom I would trust, and have known or met more who are now dead (including Father Hardon), but I’d say that your comment is about 75-90% on the money.
Stupid...to infinity...
Rumors? We are supposed to spread rumors?
