Former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch gets book deal

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, a key figure in the impeachment of President Trump, landed a book deal about her time as a career diplomat.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt told the Associated Press that it would publish Yovanovitch’s memoir, which is expected to be released in spring 2021. Two people familiar with the deal said it was worth seven figures.

The book will reflect on her career from Mogadishu, Somalia, to Kyiv and “finally back to Washington, D.C. — where, to her dismay, she found a political system beset by many of the same challenges she had spent her career combating overseas,” according to the publisher.

“Yovanovitch’s book will deliver pointed reflections on the issues confronting America today, and thoughts on how we can shore up our democracy,” Houghton Mifflin Harcourt said in an announcement.

Yovanovitch was ousted from her position in Kyiv in early 2019 on Trump’s orders. She testified during the impeachment investigation that her reputation was smeared by Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, who spread disinformation that she had been blocking corruption investigations into 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company while his father was vice president.

I am not sure you understand our enemy. ALL POPULAR MEDIA is owned by six companies - which are owned by billionaire oligarchs. like Jeff Bezos. Book publishing, magazines, music recording companies, film and movie companies (Hollywood), radio networks, TV networks, social media --- all popular media --- owned by the same few people, the same corporations.

You notice Michael Bloomberg, committed to spending a few billion dollars of his own money to gain the presidency so he can run your life and run the country. This is instructive; these media giants can afford to lose huge chunks of money (CNN, MSNBC for example) in order to achieve their singular goal: convince you that slavery (to them) is a desirable thing.

But they are not really losing money on the larger picture. One of these media empires is Disney. While you may rave against ABC Television or ESPN for being so political, you will treat your children to a visit to the Disney theme parks for a few thousand dollars, you will take them to a Disney movie, let them buy popular music by artists who work for a Disney company... etc.

You must stop thinking of these individual media outlets as poorly run companies. They are cogs in a giant wheel all designed for one purpose: to strip you - especially your children - of all traditional values, to distract you from history and continuing education, draw you away from the church and the Boy Scouts, anything that weakens their power over you.

They are oligarchs, determined to overthrow the representative democratic order and merchandise you for their benefit. They use the publishing industry to reward obedient behavior. They give a $30 mil book deal to Hillary Clinton, a million dollar book deal to Amb. Yovanovich... is anyone going to the book store to count the copies on the shelf, the copies sold? To call it 'money laundering' is a bit of a misnomer. Netflix is paying Obama untold millions - not necessarily to produce poplar media - but because they couldn't pay him while he was in the WH... it is a reward for being obedient.

The American consumer is being merchandised and inexorably ensnared into giving up self determination, to embrace a libertine view of life: if it feels good just do it. The oligarchs speak seductively of a guaranteed income - why? So you won't be coming after their wealth, so you will be a good Marie Yovanovich and be obedient, do what is expected, NOT WHAT YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO DO!

There is alternative media, of course. You can see that they are under tremendous pressures to conform. When Rupert Murdoch tried to get established in the US by buying Fox the oligarchs tried to squeeze him out. He bid on the NFL against NBC and CBS, forcing them to concede valuable programming time. He built up the various Fox networks. Ted Turner blocked Murdoch from getting on cable television; Murdoch owned all the media satellites over Asia. He told Turner no Fox on American cable - no CNN worldwide! It is a high stakes game.

Rupert Murdoch's Fox is a media giant with its own agenda, but it's history is instructive. We need to recognize the face of our enemy. Social media is the best current example; they have positioned themselves to control elections. Politicians recognize the dangers but remedies run headlong in to Constitutional rights. Those same rights protect al! other media enterprises, for better or for worse.

We are on the edge of a major societal change, partly due to new technologies --- and the oligarchs want that change in their favor. They are not the resistance WE ARE!
