You’re not going to like this answer, because I didn’t. The reason is... DC juries are hopelessly anti-Republican and pro-Democrat.

As I understand it prosecutors are not permitted by DoJ rules to bring cases that they have no possibility of winning. The old joke about a good prosecutor being able to get a Grand Jury to “indict a ham sandwich”? Well, that’s DC Juries — when it comes to Republicans. High-level Democrats carry a lot of political armor and are much harder to convict.

It would probably be a useful reform to bring cases outside the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. That’s the reform that needs to happen.

Fine. Charge the FIB lawyer caught red handed forging FISA documents in DC court. Either he is convicted or there is ridiculous jury nullification. Either way Trump wins. Yet DOJ does nothing. Now why would DOJ be avoiding a slam dunk case? Provably, they have no will to prosecute criminal Democrats to the benefit of Donald J. Trump.
