My daughter said he had 64 harrassment claims against him. Don’t know where she got the number.
I told her that anybody in power and rich will get harrassment claims from people looking for buyouts. I also told her that I want him to be guilty.
She’s a democrat, but said that if Bloomberg gets the nomination, she might vote for Trump. She’s upset that Bloomberg is buying the nomination.
64 seems like a lot. If I had to guess, that would include all people in his organization not just him personally. But he’s also as you said an easy mark. One off color joke, quit your job and collect a couple years’ pay.
Shes upset that Bloomberg is buying the nomination.
I am starting to believe that there are far more democrats that feel like this than we think. The die-hard “hate Trump” crowd is not the majority of the democrat party. There are a lot of them without a doubt, but there are many who need a real reason to vote for the nominee beyond party.
We saw the same thing with Romney and even McCain, neither of which truly excited the traditional GOP base.
Random thoughts -
If Sanders wins it, there are democrats who will not vote for a socialist.
If Sanders does not win it, there are many Bernsters who will not support the nominee.
If Bloomberg buys the election there is little doubt that many will be turned off and he is not an exciting candidate for a rich white guy with a history of offensive statements.
On top of this, Trump is cutting into the traditional democrat base significantly. Even a 10% shift in black voters will be monumental. Same for Hispanics. He is crushing it with manufacturing workers - another bedrock union base of the left.
As a bonus, I think Trump has picked up many new voters with his performance. I have heard a few people say they have never voted before, but they will vote for Trump.
Overall, I am much more confident now than I was in the last election.
