It was an exciting time. In 2009, a grassroots movement of concerned Americans scheduled 800 Tea Party rallies nationwide on tax day, April 15th. Forty percent of tea partiers voted for Obama, naively believing it would end our nation's racial divide. They did not realize that Obama was a Trojan Horse with a progressive warrior hiding inside his black-skin exterior. Once Obama began implementing his undercover mission to transform America into a socialist/progressive country, Americans said, no. His sinister policies included persecuting Christians and opening borders to illegals. Obama betrayed Americans.
In 2009, I was among only a few blacks in the Tea Party movement. When Obama told Joe the Plumber that he intended to “spread the wealth around,” I knew he was talking socialism and was not the right man to lead my beloved country. Therefore, my brother Jerry and I were the only blacks in our circle of family and friends who did not vote for the first black president.
One day I was in Florida driving to Walmart when I wrote the “American Tea Party Anthem” in my car. I few days later, I was in a recording studio recording the song. A few days later, I was interviewed on Fox News about the song. A few days later, I was on a flight to Santa Barbara, California to perform the song at a Tea Party rally. I've performed at 500 tea party rallies on 14 Tea Party Express and other national bus tours.

Because Obama had the IRS go after Tea Party groups to shut them down so they could not be effective in the 2012 election. And look who Obama had the good fortune to run against in 2012.

Undercover, my behind. He openly told people in his campaign speeches what he wanted to do. Some people were just too dazzled to hear him, I guess.
It is my sincere belief that had the GOP had a decent/conservative candidate, rather than a RINO, in 2012 that BHO would have been defeated.
Fwiw, I was a TP member BEFORE it was called the Tea Party.

Not a hox per se. It was victimized by ambitious pols who saw a bandwagon and leapt aboard. It was also prey to the powerful pull of money in DC. The Tea Partiers got to Washington and immediately found out that they would be cut out of useful committee assignments if they didn’t play along and would be opposed in the next primary with more assets than would go into electing a primary winner. They also found out they would become independently wealthy once they were safely re-elected if they toed the Estalishment line. Often men with the very best intentions are not strong enough to resist the lure of job security and great wealth.
Yes it did.After the first flurry and elections then coat turnings of Tea Partiers I got pretty discouraged but with DJT at the helm now being a patriot and conservative is bringing them back and even getting the normal Republicans seeing that their bread is buttered on the right side now.
It has been quite a ride!
