Michael Bloomberg has qualified for his second Democratic primary debate as he prepares to take the stage and face his rivals for the first time Wednesday night.
The former Big Apple mayor met the qualification requirements thanks to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal national poll released Tuesday that placed him in third with 14 percent support behind Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former Vice President Joe Biden, respectively.
In order to qualify for the Feb. 25 in Charleston, South Carolina, candidates need to reach 10 percent support in four national, DNC-approved polls or 12 percent in two South Carolina polls released between Feb. 4 and Feb. 24.
Candidates could have also qualified by getting at least one delegate out of the Iowa caucuses or New Hampshire primary except Bloomberg entered the race too late to compete in either.
Thus far, five other candidates have qualified along with Bloomberg. They include Biden, Sanders, Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
Fellow billionaire businessman Tom Steyer has not qualified for either of the two debates.
In late January, the DNC announced a major revision to its qualification criteria that paved the way for Bloombergs inclusion.

He’s spent $300 million to get all of 4,700 or so votes. $64,000 PER VOTE.
Joe’s out of the race if ‘his blacks’ don’t turn out in SC.
I just don’t see them going to Bloomberg but maybe he talked to som preacher$ and will get some support there.
Bloomberg doesn’t seem like a candidate that can work in middle America. We shall see.
How much did it cost him to “qualify”?
It can be said that the democRATs have some of the “best” politicians (HACKS) that money can buy.
Guessing his answer to any question he gets tonight at the demodrone DUHbait in NevaDUH* will be, “I got enough money to pay for that.”.
*I live here so I can say it. :-)
In other news, Tom Perez bought a new vacation house...

Brokered convention. This was the rats main plan behind the impeachment. Also, because a candidate may spend as much of their personal money as they want. ..Bloomberg becomes the vp candidate.
Bloomberg been running TV ads 24/7 on every local TV channel including the Mexican channels....Austin. ..Hes been doing this for months.
The impeachment is to do two things. ..1. Stifle the senators campaigns thereby allowing Biden to jump ahead. ..then when Biden lead is large. ..take Biden out over the barisma fiasco. Thus in comes Hillary and her moneybag Bloomberg. ....it could happen. ...
impressive
Does he even know where South Dakota is?
For $64K I will vote for Bloomberg in a Democratic primary.
Where is _my_ check?
Agreed—the debate tonight is important because it will Bloomberg’s first test under fire.
Either the leftist moderators or the leftist candidates will not let him get away with his “stop and frisk”, “farming is easy”, and a variety of other public statements.
In debates if you are not on offense you are on defense. If you are on defense you lose.
(I was a high school and college debater in the good old days....)
That's my feeling as well. I understand that he is a poor speaker, and I wonder if he can think on his feet when the "gotcha" questions come up (unless he buys the answers ahead of time).
I called it. Bloomberg got his own ass handed to him tonight in the debates.
Mini Mike is a firecracker that just went ppiffftthh. A total dud. $400 million literally flushed down the toilet.
Mini-Mike just spent $500 million to catfish the democrats.
Input needed, who should SC Republicans vote for next Saturday? At this time I’m leaning towards Biden.
