What state? Illinois?
Michigan.
The absurdity of public officials obeying and enforcing laws they like and ignoring or refusing to enforce laws they don’t like began in New York when police were ordered not to enforce Federal immigration laws when confronted with obvious violations. It spread to drug enforcement and now even allows felons to be released upon arrest. When Federal judges became ardently politicized, the rule of law withered.
I never knew such counties existed until the past couple weeks......
Seems to happening all over.
We all know that practically the whole state of Virginia has gone pro 2nd.
Here in Indiana we currently have 9 counties declaring themselves 2nd amendment sanctuary and at least another dozen considering it.
Seems like we’re still coming by it to the libtards!
I have been a resident of Livingston Co. for more than a half century, and am also the owner of more than a half dozen guns. I’m obviously a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. That said, I see no reason for the county to become a Second Amendment sanctuary county. I am aware of no laws or regulations either planned, or on the books, which would necessitate it.
I believe that immigration sanctuary areas are illegal, and should be outlawed. Making Second Amendment sanctuary areas which are not necessary only dilutes the reasoning to oppose immigration sanctuary areas.
Livingston County has had a checkered past. It was once considered the home of Michigan’s John Birch Society when the leader lived there. It gained some notoriety during some forced bussing incidents in the 70s. Around that time, a Michigan Congressman from Detroit was asked if her son experienced racism while attending Michigan State University in Lansing, some 45 miles away. Her reply: “Of course! It’s near Howell, you know.” Howell is the county seat. It’s just as far from Lansing as it is from Detroit. For all of this earned and unearned notoriety, I believe it’s best to keep from adding to it.
The lawmakers should ban sanctuaries that prevent enforcement of US laws. What a disgrace to our legal system. They disgrace our political system. Politicians are out of control. They do not belong in leadership positions.
Stand and be counted....
Meet the progressive Democrat running for Congress in the heart of Arab-America (Michigan)
FReepers tend to condemn sanctuary cities for illegal aliens and praise 2A sanctuaries. Viewpoint is everything I guess.
