It is a generation to whom much has been given and from whom little is expected.

I completely agree with your assessment about education, but the larger issue stems from the vast wealth and blessings of our country. Because of our wealth we have increasing turned away from active involvement in our children's lives and decided we do not want to be bothered with raising children. If people even have children, they are immediately placed in daycare, and then thrown in school to have teachers raise their children.

Our wealth and blessing has left most with way, way too much time and resources to simply be selfish and focus completely on one's self.

This generation is pretty much anchorless. They have no idea what to believe. They have been indoctrinated by the leftist schools to hate everything Judeo-Christian. This void, borne from sloth and selfishness is just now beginning to bear rotten fruit. I don't think this gets better in the foreseeable future.

You make an excellent point. I have a friend whose daughter has 4 children. She is married to a minister. Obviously he does not make a lot of money. She opted to be a stay-at-home mom and actually homeschools all of her children. They live VERY frugally in a small town in the Midwest. The kids are already showing great signs of being moral, clear-headed and unspoiled.

She is SUCH an outlier amongst women of her generation the odds are hard to quantify. Maybe 1 in 10,000.
