Snowflake?
The beneficiaries of Socialist policies and programs are:
Primary - the Socialist politicians - power and looting capability
Secondary - The bureaucracies and organizations - drain the public treasury
Tertiary - The supposed recipients
ALL Socialist politicians are congenital liars.
True story. I was in a meeting with a woman who worked for the Salt Lake United Way. She called the meeting to discuss the rising numbers of students who aren’t testing at grade level and how the education system can help. Her entire project was to MONITOR the situation. She actually admitted that they don’t do any “interventions” or develop programs to help. They spend 80% of their funding on administration expenses to monitor and report. I suspect a lot of groups claiming to “work with the homeless” fall into similar types of scams. The person who said if you can’t find a solution, there’s significant money to be made in prolonging the problem was correct.
They are worse than liars, though I agree with everything you wrote. They play off the sympathy of the American people, exploiting our charitable values, and use the money to pay off the various groups that support them politically.
And some outright steal it for themselves using any conceivable scheme, to wit the former Mayor of Baltimore taking what is it, $800,000 to sell them some childrens books she wrote and self-published... and recently two people in Mississippi were arrested for embezzling some portion of public welfare funds. It was reported only 5.4% of some $130 million reached the poor families for whom it was intended though it is not clear how much of it was embezzled and diverted and how much of it was just wasted on useless resources and overhead expenses.
