Exactly. All he does is vote in the Senate. He has no influence, he’s not going to be a big player at the Convention. He’s just one Senator.

So was McCain... and he won re-election on promises to end ObamaCare... and he cast the deciding vote to protect ObamaCare once Trump took office (and the GOP-led Congress never brought it up again).

Can the Washington Post write a more misleading article then this one. Of course they’re the Post!

Romney’s vote was a “”no cost to him” public tantrum of a vote. “No cost to him” because by the time he’s up for re-election it will be pretty much forgotten if past behavior of the electorate teaches us anything. Also Mormon church leaders will tell people to forget it and many will. So surviving is about as hard as the eating of ice cream like Romney did on the Senate floor.

McCain had a lot more seniority than Mitt in the Senate.

I suspect he’ll run as a republican. After all, how many republicans four years from now would vote against him and for ANY democrat. His comments about his vote seemed to be aimed square at democrats and the middle - that will be voting in 2024. He hopes the remarks will age like a fine wine and win the day in the political culture of that day.

He may be right, and he may be wrong. But I think that is what he is doing.

Leverage is a remarkable tool, but Mitt isn’t.

After observing Mitt over the years, I have concluded that Mitt is owned and he simply does as he is told.

Leverage. I wonder what the market rate for a US Senator is these days.

Damn... now that AC/DC song “Who Made Who” will be playing in my head all day “Who made who?... Who made you?.. Who picked up the bill and who made who?”

That’s one headline that the Compost would have never published back in 2012.

wishful thinking by the WashPost commies.
all Romney has done is made himself a pathetic laughing stock

(NOT for voting against PDJT, but for voting to convict a president on a fake “impeachment” charge which:
1. would not have been an impeachable crime had it been true,
2. would, had it been true, have been authorized by the president’s constitutional power to conduct foreign policy,
3. would, had it been true, been authorized by our treaty (as negotiated by President William J. Clinton) with Ukraine (to investigate crimes committed by the other’s nationals),
and further,
4. had PDJT **NOT** asked Ukraine to investigate, Congress could have charged him with failing to execute the laws of the United States

in other words, Romney is behaving like a real jerk

The Washington Compost is officially in panic mode over the current crop of Democrat nomination contenders.

This article would never have been written if the Democrats had even a half-viable candidate.

The Deep State is in deep-feces, and it knows it.

The President is not subject to the ICWPA because he is not a intelligence operative. The "whistle blower" is not a whistle blower because he talked to Schiff. Other than stating his own name correctly, Schiff never told the truth once about the case. Any prosecutor bringing such a case would end up like Mike Nifong. They would be disbarred, prosecuted, convicted, imprisoned, and sued by the victims of their abuse of power.

Romney has shown he can not be trusted with elected office.

Mitt is the dog on the roof of Soros’ car. Mitt is so conflicted that I’m surprised he can walk a straight line.

Okay. There is no proof at all that PIERRE DELECTO is or ever has been a “republican”. Just because he “self identifies” means nothing at all. Just ask Bruce Jenner.

If he runs in 2024, I swear before God almighty I will vote for the opponent. It’s probably better to vote for the democrats directly than to vote Romney and endure the death of a thousand cuts to get to the same result.

His only committee assignment in the future will be the one supervising the janitors in the Capitol Building.
