I think the writer is confusion Islam with arab. All Muslim creeds think they are the only True Muslims. All 289 of them.

Actually it makes a great deal of sense. Using relatively cheap uranium to provide electricity, frees up more oil for sale. Also, contrary to the implication of some comments, this is a commercial power reactor, with international oversight, NOT a weapons grade materials production reactor.

It is ruled by Muslim Arabs now. The Persians are in the standard process of elimination. Ie. Egypt. Which once was purely Coptic. Not many left now.
