OK, then step up and tell us what YOU would have done ten days ago, given existing knowledge, full authority EXCEPT you could not order the ship towed out 200 miles and sunk.
I would have evacuated them off the ship to a building or buildings where the people could have been better isolated from mainland staff and with better ventilation and sanitation. I read interesting comments this morning from a US MD on that ship who said it was basically a “petri dish” promoting more infections.
