I often confuse Alaska (AK) for Arkansas (AR) in the postal service abbreviations; I can understand how AR could be taken as Arizona (AZ).

The source probably got it from the two letter state codes and assumed AR was Arizona, not Arkansas. Of course, Arizona is AZ.
