Juror 1261 in Roger Stone's case: Was justice undone?
the hill ^ | 02/15/2020 | Jonathan Turley

She was Juror No. 1261, and her examination by the federal court and counsel before the trial was anything but notable. And that is precisely the problem.

Juror 1261, we now know, was Tomeka Hart. Her identity would have remained publicly unknown except for a public statement she made after the Department of Justice (DOJ) rescinded its initial sentencing recommendation for Trump confidant Roger Stone. In the midst of the firestorm of allegations of political interference, Hart disclosed that she was the foreperson on the Stone jury and gave a full-throated defense of the trial prosecutors: “It pains me to see the DOJ now interfere with the hard work of the prosecutors.”

That statement led many people to Google her name, and what they found was a litany of postings not only hostile to President Trump and his administration but also specifically commenting on Stone and his arrest — before she ever appeared for jury duty.

I have previously written how I believe that the DOJ was correct in its rejection of the absurdly high recommendation of seven to nine years in prison for Stone. However, there are legitimate questions that must still be addressed on how the Justice Department came to that decision. Yet, while cable shows exhaustively cover that story, there is an equally serious question as to whether the conviction itself, rather than the sentencing recommendation, should be reevaluated.

Somebody like Roger Stone cannot get a fair trial in DC. Did the defense team even request a change of venue?

It was denied, I believe.

On the flip side, what DC jury would convict Comey, McCabe, Clapper Strzok etc???

Exactly, none of these traitors would be convicted in a DC court. Think OJ.

Stone’s defense team wasn’t allowed to mount a viable defense. The conviction was baked in the cake.

IF anyone named Tomeka is ever on a jury for a case involving a conservative that conservative is toast.

So back to the actual story which is the issues raised by Professor Turley.

Yes, there’s major problems in the case with the jury and an application is filed.
It appears this will be a problem not easily buried by Judge Amy Berman.

This entire trial must be tossed and that’s the bottom line.

Tomeka was asking for it. She’s obviously not a very deep thinker, to put her neck on the block by exposing her identity. For what, a brief “look at me” moment in the media? These are the imbeciles who would lead us.

This Memphis Ratchet ought to be charged with perjury in her juror questionnaire and misconduct for violating the Stone trial gag order. Let's see those juror answers, Ratchet.

This begs the question, given that DC is not a state, and that politics and government are the mainstay of DC, should ANY jurors be selected from DC? The following map shows percentages of DC residents who work in the public sector:

If it can be shown that she communicated to democrat operative, even Brazille, after being selected, she’s toast.

"As a Christian woman, I understand persecution,"

This is what Brazile said when asked if she had provided debate questions to Hillary.

Did the defense team even request a change of venue?

Did they bother to ask jurors if they were familiar with the case or the people involved?

I've gone through jury selection (non-high profile cases).

Defense attorneys are supposed to weed-out jurors who are familiar with the case or have an obvious bias.

That his lawyers didn't ask or did ask and let them serve anyway is incompetence or worse.

The trial should be overturned or thrown out or appealed.

Why is Stone not raising hell over his lawyers?

How FoxNews can employ Brazile anyway? Here's from their Senate trial night live panel, January 21, where she waved her hand dismissively about Hunter Biden's grift, first saying "He don't know anything" then exclaiming "HE GOT PAID, BABY".

How is it Brazile wasn't fired on the spot and removed by security?!

her Twitter feed is going to put her in jail.

Not in the DC area. And if Berman Jackson gives Stone a 50 year sentence the dem House is not going to impeach her. Trump needs to make some changes in the DC DOJ office. Timothy Shea either was deceived by his staff and need to regain control, or he needs to go.

In Federal court the judge qualifies the jurors, lawyers don’t get to question them. There is a story out there that Stone’s lawyers tried to get Juror 1261 disqualified, don’t know if that is accurate or not.

Stone needs a new lawyer. And a new trial. Or just an acquittal.
