Why bother?
There's practically ZERO CO2 in the atmosphere now.
CO2 makes up 4/1000s of all atmospheric gases...that's damn close to ZERO.
(compared to 99% Nitrogen and Oxygen)
True but it’s a pretty critical gas even in the small amount that exists. If it truly went to zero you and I wouldn’t by typing away on our keyboards.
IF there was just zero, the planet would be mostly frozen.
Leading with that statement about reducing the man-made carbon load to zero, was only to gain the attention of those folks that have an irrational fear of carbon dioxide. Turns out, they have an even more irrational fear of nuclear energy, or so they claim. Command-and-control regimes have an irrational fear of ANYBODY having access to cheap energy, because cheap energy is what fuels large-scale capitalism.
The world NEEDS that tiny amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, because that is the fountain that sustains ALL life on earth. Without carbon dioxide present, every green plant in the world would sicken and die. Carbon dioxide is plant food. And also incidentally, it is the source of renewal of the oxygen supply of our atmosphere.
