No longer “Army Strong”! Vindman violated protocols re anything close to whistleblower status and procedures. There are plenty of present and former military officers who are willing to testify against him for professional misconduct.

Trump got rid of the weak Secy of the Navy (Gallagher case). Maybe time we need a new Secy of the Army. Damned, I miss Gen. Maxwell Taylor, George Patton, Gen. Bruckner and Gen. Creighton Abrams.

Generals don't fire politicians. They attempt to maneuver around them or use civilians to exert pressure. Of course U S Grant did flat out refuse to be sent on a diplomatic mission to Juarez by direct order of the President. He and Sheridan also ignored the presidential defining of the first Reconstruction Act.

Nelson A Miles simply ignored President Cleveland's stated desire that Geronimo and his followers would be allowed to return to the Chiricahua Reservation upon surrender. Miles hurried back from the surrender site to Ft Bowie and used the telegraph to set up a very well guarded rendezvous between a train and Geronimo's band and the soldiers escorting them. The Apaches got hustled on the train and were en route to the pretty much defunct US Arsenal at Marion Alabama. After that orders and direction from the Sec War on the subject were either ignored or responded to with non sequiturs. In the Spanish American War Miles received a direct order from McKinley through Sec Army Alger and Miles responded with a message that stated ‘General Miles prefers to issue his own orders.’ Miles had deliberately cultivated the press and the public to present himself as a MacArthuresque figure, only he was more conniving than Dugout Doug.

The President theoretically has complete power over the armed forces and the Foreign Service and the civil bureaucracy. So why has no one been referred for criminal prosecution in the FBI or Justice. McCabe can now parade about on the TV circuit and rum Trumps face in it and enjoy a six digit book contract and finally a very highly paid job on Wall Street or K Street.

The President has to engage in a full court press with the Navy civilian and military bureaucrats over the retention of the Trident badge of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, It ended with the sacking of the Sec Navy for attempting a double cross of the President but the SEAL commander RADM Green, who had been part of the kangaroo court martial of Gallagher and the attempt to trip the President suffered no ill affects.

If Vindman has the sort of rabbis I think he has by virtue of his apparent assignment to the AWC rather than assignment to Ft Leonard Wood to command a basic training battalion Trump is going to have a hell of a fight with the Army hierarchy to push Vindman out. Vindman is USMA, which makes him belong to the strongest union in the Army. Many GO’s will think but never say “This guy is a pile of crap , but he is our pile of crap and we will cover for him as long as we can.’

If he determined enough Trump will win on this case , but it will again demonstrate how determined government careerists can make doing something straightforward be like mating elephants, takes forever and there is a lot of screaming while it goes on.

The key to the power of any entrenched element in permanent organizations is that the words on documents don't match actions when they want it to be their way and forcing such a cabal to do anything ‘outsiders’ want done that they don't is to form a defensive square and activate the iron triangle play.

In effect words are just the window dressing for such internal masonry's. You mus have heard as I did from a MSGT , the first week of basic training, ‘Boy, doesn't matter what the words say, what matters is actions. Watch what those above you do and act accordingly.

Hou posted examples of Gen Officers who have seemingly disobeyed their Commander but The details and circumstances are lacking. In any case the numbers are small and if you look at just the number of Officers fired by Obama (197) I believe my point has been made.

Have patriots ever made a citizens arrest of a traitor? We could conduct our own court. It’s like we have no say in our government at all.
