To: Vigilanteman
Tell that to the people who created Iraq, Kuwait, Palestine, Transjordan, Syria and other countries from the Ottoman Empire, post World War I, mostly dysfunctional entities with which we are still dealing with today.

Did the US create any of those?

No, but that isn't the point. We didn't create Afghanistan either. It is an amalgamation of warring tribes created by a long since departed colonial empire. Just because the Taliban hold the largest swath of territory (roughly one third) is no reason to give then the rest.

Ever heard of the Northern Alliance? They were the ones who helped us and tried to warn us. There is more information about them on my Freeper page.

Tribally, they have far more in common with Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and would make the place more stable if subdivided accordingly. None of these three are model western democracies. But, unlike the Taliban, they have no history of exporting terrorism and, in fact, gave us bases to attack the Taliban.
