If the Republican Party was a sports team it would be called the Republican Retreaters.

“It’s still possible that some credible conservative will emerge in 2024, but unlikely. The RNC establishment has been put on the sidelines for 2 elections, and they are going to want to control who gets the nomination after President Trump has finished his second term. They will almost certainly elect some gutless hack, who will turtle at the first sign of pressure from the media.”

Like how the RNC gave us the ‘New World Order” Bush piece of shit after Reagan?

This would be the observations of Captain Obvious. Whatever my affinity for Trump it dwarfs my affinity for the GOP — ZERO!

The GOP and RNC are part of the Swamp. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, they are the problem, not the solution.

I'm rather hoping that Bernie does win the nomination, and isn't openly defrauded by the DNC this time... then neither candidate would be a traditional politician of the party they are representing. What clearer message could be sent to the DNC and RNC, that they are hated by BOTH sides, and need to change or disband?

Trump should start the Trump Party!!

Yes, but call it ANYTHING but that. He'd be killing half of the movement before it began if he put his name on the shingle.

You overlook the important point

Trump is not only a Republican, but he is leader of the Republican party

He has no need for a different party

We always have a choice.

My first vote was for President Reagan.

Before Trump I was just about done with the GOP. So tired of them promising one thing and then stabbing us in the back.

The Republican party really needs to crank out support for candidates all over the US. There should not be a single Democrat seat going unchallenged.

While some district are “rotten Democrat”, the party can use those races as training races, giving campaign bonuses for their next race even if they lose; and if they actually win a Dem seat, they get double bonuses for their next election race.

Fundraising is hard for those who lose their race, and freshmen congressmen, so this should sweeten the pie for them.
