A North Korean official was executed for going to a public bath while he was meant to be in quarantine, a report in the South has claimed.
The trade official was arrested and immediately shot after risking the spread of coronavirus by visiting the public bath, the Dong-a Ilbo newspaper reported.
The official had been placed in isolation after travelling to China with Kim Jong-un imposing military law to enforce the lockdown, sources said.
North Korea has not yet confirmed any cases of the virus, but has taken drastic measures to stop it spreading over its border with China.

Now THERE is the real question! LOL
That is a sure fire way to make sure the quarantine will be followed. That is taking a page from solid disease control procedures.
Wow - there’s another thread about a San Diego lab finding a vaccine in 3 hours. North Korea beats them by finding a vaccine without any research at all.....
Id rather go to a public bath in Wuhan than a public bath in San Francisco
So is this official counted in the official death totals due to the virus?
For north Korean shade tree communicable disease officials, the application of a generous quarantine safety factor is sort of a CYA pronouncement
.....
Certainly the officials would be shot if their quarantine time frame is wrong.
If Un wants to be truly safe he needs to have everyone who crosses the border from China immediately shot and buried on the spot after which the executioners should be shot. Airplanes coming from China should also be shot down before they can land.
Apparently there are some cases that developed upt to three weeks after exposure.
I always that the Asian airlines did a good of discriminating when it came to flight attendants. Singapore Airlines were especially good at it.
