Trump hasn’t stopped the flood of immigrants taking US tech jobs. Nor has he stopped the firing of Americans, who first have to train their foreign replacements.
And don’t tell me the foreigners are “smarter.” What we know is that they work for less.
I know all this because a relative was recently laid off from a tech job - and asked to first train the FIVE foreigners hired to replace him.
This is not exactly MAGA, is it?
Trump literally has no say in that.
I realize that their severance is held hostage unless they train the replacements but in doing so they just enable the practice, encouraging others to be victim of the same.
...best to have an emergency fund and just walk away.
