Today, not so much.
Another case in San Diego among the evacuees that are under quarantine.
Brings US to 14.
Cases jumped by 20,000 today. Over 60,000 now.
Just catching up for the ones they missed in the last few days.
I think the Chinese are making up these numbers out of thin air.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
If we’re relying on the Chinese reports, then, we can easily estimate the figures to be way under-reported, and likely, the figure for infected is into the hundreds of thousands, and deaths to be, by now, way over 100,000.
limited number of test kits. Real number is likely in the millions infected based on the reaction of authorities. Only bright side is that the fatality rate is probably lower than one would think based on confirmed cases. Only the sickest are getting tested.
Just read, the Dalai Lama just cancelled all public appearances for the time being, because of the outbreak.
.... Not to minimize the Coronavirus ...... BUT ..... In the mean time ..... Over 10,000 Americans have already died from this years flu virus ......
Im looking at this from an America-first point of view.
Absolutely love how the virus is ravaging Communist China, from
An economic point of view.
Absolutely terrible for the ChiComs. But hey, at least we are not funding their military through Walmart while ChiCom manufacturing is shut down. Great for our economy in the future.
US companies should have listened to Trump and pulled out of Communist China and diversified production to other countries and back to the USA months ago. Maybe this will be the spark to make them decide to finally pull out of Communist China
The chicom response to the disease is also more violent than the disease.
It remains to be seen how many more die because of the abuses of the Chinese government
This is a virus Tienanmen

Current stats via Johns Hopkins:
Total confirmed: 50,308
Total Deaths: 1,368
Recovered? No Data (it was listed yesterday, ChiComs no like to share)
All I will say is, prepare.
Masks, goggles, food, and drink. To start.
Prepare.
Two Russian women ESCAPE from coronavirus quarantine, with one jumping from a window and another HACKING the electronic lock on her door

He still thinks it’s the flu, in spite of being told the differences.
All he needs is whiskey and honey.
“Only bright side is that the fatality rate is probably lower than one would think based on confirmed cases”
Think again. Yesterdays data via Johns Hopkins showed ratio of dead to recovered was 20% deaths 80% recovered. In Hubei Province it was 30%. (Wuhan is capital of Hubei)
I’m open to ideas about stopping the flu.
I got my flu vaccine.
Don’t think we can quarantine it, but if we could, I’d be for it.
Coronavirus is much worse than the flu if you catch it. So as long as it’s regionally contained, it’s important to keep it that way as long as possible.
That gives us time to learn how to best treat it, develop vaccines, develop drugs, etc.
And if it can be contained, perhaps it can be eradicated.
Would be glad to do that to the flu too.
My mistake it is 60,308 not the 50,308 that I posted.
