On Tuesdays broadcast of the Fox News Channels Ingraham Angle, host Laura Ingraham stated that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will become the juggernaut the same way President Trump did in 2016 unless Democrats pick one moderate candidate to unite around.
Ingraham said that if 2020 Democrat former Vice President Joe Biden stays in the race after New Hampshire, it just helps Sanders.
She added, So, for you moderates, it will either be Bloomberg, Mayor Pete, or Klobuchar. You need to pick one at this point. Its not going to be Biden. If you want to beat Sanders you have to form a coalition now.
Ingraham picked 2020 Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) as the candidate she would pick to unite around.
She further stated that in 2016, The Trump juggernaut passed South Carolina, kept rolling along, then it was too late. The same will happen with Bernie. Hell become the juggernaut, the new anti-establishment juggernaut of the Democrat Party. But what if its Bloomberg and Bernie after Super Tuesday? Do you really think that youre going to convince the base, energetic for real change, to choose [Bloomberg] over Bernie at that point? Good luck with that.

They won’t.
They won’t have egos, and are really resistant to having an ex-Republican from Wall Street try to buy their nomination.
What a disaster
Juggernaut? More like (as will be the case for whomever they nominate) the Biggest Loser!
But will he have enough to win without a brokered convention..
I thuink all the primaries are not winner take all
Their biggest problem is that none of them really disagree with Bernie.
They have to do a weird dance, trying to out-Bernie Bernie for the young vote, and put him at arm’s length for the older vote. Most of them can’t do it, and none of them have any authentic ideas of their own.
Sorry, Jeb Bush is not available at the moment....
I think Bloomie disagrees with Bernie on a wide range of things.
But that puts him on the absolute wrong side of the fence with most Democrat voters.
Bernie Sanders and the Socialist Juggernaut!
LOL
What I have noticed w/ the Dem circular firing squad know as the primary race is that Dem voters have been fickle. They ultimately want someone, anyone, who can beat Trump. First it was Biden, then Warren got popular, then Bernie, then Mayor Pete, Koblachar is moving up. Anyone, and they flock to the new next savior.
This why Bloomberg scares me. Now we have his Stop ‘n Frisk tape, but they might just hold their nose like we did on the Billy Bush tape. As I can see a lot of Dems thinking that Bloomberg is their Trump slayer.
Plus entering this circular firing squad of a race last is a good idea.
Brokered Convention is another story, Bernie Fans will be upset if he gets the shaft again, and he will. So what do Bernie fans do? Stay home, convince him to run as an Independent, he already is.
The Democrats sabotaged themselves by banning winner take all primaries.
It will be _very_ difficult for Sanders to get to 50% of the delegates before the convention.
It will be _impossible_ for anyone else to get there.
Grab the popcorn—it contested convention chaos time!
“But will he have enough to win without a brokered convention”
I think I agree with Ingraham on this one.....The likelihood of a “brokered” convention is infinitesimal.
If Bernie has the delegates he will be nominated as even the elite are smart enough to realize that anything they put in his way to prevent that this time will result in a full out internal war.
I don't know how many delegates Klobuchar will win going forward. She had a strong performance based on a forthright, fluent answer to one debate question, when you come down to it.
So, if she doesn't have staying power, you have a two man race (and I use the term "man" advisedly in referring to Pete). In a two man race, it is possible to get a first ballot win.
It’s scripted out...maybe for the entire past year. No one will have the votes in the convention to win on the first ballot. Bloomberg, with lesser votes and almost no public debate time....will win on either second or third convention ballot, and I suspect he’ll pick Mayor Pete as the VP.
Bernie voters may be furious but that’s the chosen path of the DNC.
This is a great angle (non pun, and intended) and I agree, but I also agree with the commenters who say the egos are too big. No one came this far to quit if they are anywhere near sniffing distance in other upcoming primaries.
Also, Biden can’t quit. He NEEDS to win. If he ends up on the outside of the power again for another 4 years, he has no way to stop the microscope from focusing in on Ukraine and his other scandals.
what’s really beginning to PISS ME OFF is people, including people on the right, calling gay pete moderate. He is FARRR from moderate. He’s a radical leftist and as far as I’m concerned, people that keep repeating this are only qualifying him as the candidate.
Good point.
Moderate?!?! I love Laura but she needs to stop playing into this myth. There is no such thing as a moderate democrat.
Its crazy looney, slightly less looney and just looney.
I do expect DNC to shaft Bernie again. If they don’t, the election is going to be great fun. And if the do, its going be even more fun.
“Their biggest problem is that none of them really disagree with Bernie.”
Exactly. It’s hard for them to portray him as a radical commie nut job (which he is) when they can’t identify anything they disagree with him on. They also have the weird dance of trying to screw him out of the nomination like they did last time without anyone noticing.
