The deadly animal virus epidemic spreading globally may have originated in a Wuhan laboratory linked to China’s covert biological weapons program, according to an Israeli biological warfare expert.
Radio Free Asia this week rebroadcast a local Wuhan television report from 2015 showing China’s most advanced virus research laboratory known the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Radio Free Asia reported.
The laboratory is the only declared site in China capable of working with deadly viruses.
Dany Shoham, a former Israeli military intelligence officer who has studied Chinese bio warfare, said the institute is linked to Beijing’s covert biological weapons program.
“Certain laboratories in the institute have probably been engaged, in terms of research and development, in Chinese [biological weapons], at least collaterally, yet not as a principal facility of the Chinese BW alignment,” Mr. Shoham told The Washington Times.
Work on biological weapons is conducted as part of a dual civilian-military research and is “definitely covert,” he said in an email.
Mr. Shoham holds a doctorate in medical microbiology. From 1970 to 1991 he was a senior analyst with Israeli military intelligence for biological and chemical warfare in the Middle East and worldwide, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel.
China in the past has denied having any offensive biological weapons. The State Department, in a report last year, said it suspects China has engaged in covert biological warfare work.
A Chinese Embassy spokesman did not return an email seeking comment.
Chinese authorities so far have said the origin of the coronavirus that has killed scores and infected hundreds in in central Hubei Province is not known.

Not sure why any “accurate source” would waste much space repeating what the CCP puts out. It is obvious to knolwedgable experts that the BSL-4 lab was the source.
Not sure if it’s true, but if I were to engineer a bio weapon it would look and act pretty much like Covfefe-19.

The former Israeli military intelligence doctor also said suspicions were raised about the Wuhan Institute of Virology when a group of Chinese virologists working in Canada improperly sent samples to China of what he said were some of the deadliest viruses on earth, including the Ebola virus.

I can tell from the title they straw manned it. No reasonable person is going with the HIV conspiracy theory. Doesn’t rule out bioweapons entirely.

Humans are stupid. We don’t know if the virus has any relation to the labs but it’s stupid to build them within highly populated areas. We’re no better building bio labs in the middle of large cities. This practice is begging for trouble.

You are dealing with a virus that is:I'd be hard pressed to write a better description of an ideal biological weapon. Not saying it is one, but it checks off all the boxes save one. Apparently there is no vaccine or treatment to protect your own people.

• has multiple transmission modes,
• has a relatively long latency period between the time a person is contagious and begins to show symptoms,
• so far seemingly exhibits a very high communicability and transmission rate at least in Asian populations
At this point, based on The Majority Of Coronavirus Victims Are Men... I'd add:
A less charitable person than I might speculate that the plan was to eliminate the males in surrounding countries to free up the wimmin folk to replace all the Chinese girls who were aborted under the one child policy.

No technology required to see that is insane. And safety standards in China are not like in the West. It is like the Sorcerer’s apprentice alone in the Lab.

San Antonio has the largest baboon (and other primates) lab in the world and they’ve had a least two group escapes. As if they couldn’t have built it in the country.
San Antonio also has one of the handful bio-safety level 4 labs in the US. Again, dumb idea to build it in the second largest city in the state. Yeah, the others are built in populated areas - Galveston, Atlanta, Fort Detrick. At least Galveston can be blocked off.
