WASHINGTON, D.C. -- More than nine in 10 Americans say they would vote for a presidential candidate nominated by their party who happened to be black, Catholic, Hispanic, Jewish or a woman. Such willingness drops to eight in 10 for candidates who are evangelical Christians or are gays or lesbians. Between six and seven in 10 would vote for someone who is under 40 years of age, over 70, a Muslim or an atheist.
Just one group tested -- socialists -- receives majority opposition. Less than half of Americans, 45%, say they would vote for a socialist for president, while 53% say they would not.

It’s pure Bill Bradley effect. Many people are buffaloed into silence by family, friends and coworkers. Everyone knows the party line about homos. You even see it here and twitter and FB. People say “I don’t care that Buttplug is gay, I care that he’s socialist”.
But the truth is, a majority of people are disgusted by the fact that he lets another man do him in the poophole and would never vote for him. And they’ll never admit it, to anyone.
Why get fired, why have to argue with your college student relative at thanksgiving, why have to get banned on twitter or FB? Just keep it under your Stetson till election day.
My Mamma always used to say that Socialism and Atheism go together like peas and carrots.
She also said Faith and Freedom are like peas and carrots...
Same for moslems and open communists like Bernie. They only prevail in their natural habitat. Moslem congressfools come from moslem fever swamps in America. Morons like Bernie come from the New England socialist axis or California.
In the rest of America, people won’t vote for them.
It seems that this coming election will follow the 1972 election with Sanders being the modern day McGovern fool.
Sadly, pus filled sores covering one’s face also ranks as a political liability like socialism or atheism.

I agree; I imagine most regular Americans, even run-of-the-mill liberals, when sitting on their couch at night in front of the TV talking to their spouses, in the safety of their own homes, speak of homosexuality negatively. But out in public, it’s “I have no problem with them”. It’s simply a survival instinct to make it in this crazy country we have now, as gays have been raised to the rank of demigods. I refuse to believe that most people are OK with homosexuality, no matter what the polls say. Or let’s put it this way, maybe they’re OK with other people being gay, but they wouldn’t wish it on their sons or daughters.
