Basic premise - Conservatism is in a defensive posture, agreed? We have somehow lost control of the major news feeds, agreed? We have lost control of academia, and the organs of culture, eh?. I mean, this ain’t rocket science. Until, Trump, we were getting hammered. WHY? It’s that ding dong simple. If it were not for Fox, Rush and the commuter radio medium, we’d be toast. You know this. WHY? What did we do wrong? Because we sure as hell did something wrong to be in this state of affairs. 4 more years of Trump and then what, back to hiding behind some imaginary shield wall as transgendered hit squads bash in the front door at 3AM.
I see a lot of thinking that is just as knee jerk and hide bound as leftist thought processes. I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of Freepers who have any insight into the social dynamics brought about by mass lateral peer to peer communication media. I see wall to wall 19th century thinking in the 21st century here. Technology is pulling the rug out from underneath this sort of thinking.
Problem is, the more dire the situation the harder the white knuckle grip on old school thinking based upon feudalist scarcity dog eat dog social Darwinism. If you don’t know the term “Social Darwinism”, Google it.
Conservatives are slowly beginning to understand that the neocon fascist Rockefeller “never Trump” faction of the GOP is precisely the faction that the John Birch Society warned us about. Do some reading. Start with Carrol Quigley’s “Tragedy and Hope”.
But you and most others just zero in on the trigger words in my posts and blindly look past the references I make. There’s enough reference material in this thread to turn you into an awake human.
