Its done a fine job of spreading on that cruise ship quarantined in Japan,
136 cases confirmed of 273 people tested ( including crew)

and they have another 3,000 passengers not yet tested

Thats why they keep resetting the incubation period, now up to 24 days

Regarding the cruise ship, if the virus is airborne, keeping everyone on the ship seems a near certain way to make everyone sick. Eventually all 3,000 will have been exposed.

The upside to that is we’ll have a pretty good idea what the mortality rate is in a couple of months, assuming they get the care they need once they’re infected.

But it would seem to make far more sense to get them all off the ship and spread them out in individual units that don’t share the same HVAC system. Then the quarantine wouldn’t have to be continuously extended for everyone. Those who don’t exhibit symptoms could go home after 14 days. Now they can’t because new cases crop up daily, extending the end-of-quarantine date.
