en. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday backpedaled on his promise to release comprehensive medical records, saying his doctors have confirmed hes in good health.
You can start releasing medical records ― it never ends, Sanders told NBCs Meet The Press when asked whether he planned to release additional medical records after having a heart attack in October.
We have released a substantive part of all of our background, he added. We have doctors who are cardiologists who are confirming that I am in good health. I am in good health.

Rich Bernie, rich....
Scenerio: He gets the nomination ad croaks 1 week b4 the election. Then what? Butt boi takes over?
He should be asked who he will choose as his vice president for obvious reasons.
Wanna bet the medical records are leaked?
Comprehensive records would include his recent cardiac cath showing exactly the severity of his cardiac disease, which might be a little scary in a 78 year old.
If I were 78 and just had a heart attack, I’d be retired as of today and you’d find me fly fishing somewhere.
Bernie is so FoS that he makes a septic tank retch.
They did that with McCain. This will definitely be asked.
Did Seth Rich have them?
“walks back” LOL! How about LIED. The lie is the weapon used most often by the criminal. Of course, he’s a serial liar, that B.S.
It takes some criminals to raze a republic.
People have no right to the medical records of any candidate, Bernie Sanders included.
People should know, and be told by his opponents if they don’t know, that he’s 78 years old and just had a heart attack.
That’s plenty of information to form an opinion about whether you want to vote for him, or if you don’t.
Bernie isn’t being asked to run a quarter mile.
He’s probably the smartest Democratic presidential contender except for possibly Bloomberg.
Yes, he has lots of extreme plans, but he probably knows what to settle for.
Bernie hopes to get the ability to sign or veto bills and appoint Supreme Court justices.
If he can wield a pen and sign his name, he’s physically and mentally fit enough for Democratic voters.
I don’t expect Trump to be able to write legislation or find a good judge himself.
Yes, Bernie’s signed bills and judge nominations will be awful, even worse than the Kenyan’s.
The time to pay dearly for “cheap” labor approaches.
Bernie’s physician is a veterinarian, Sometimes folks living in those very rural areas in Vermont that don’t have a physician will consult with a vet in an emergency. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bernie’s bloodwork came back rabies positive
It would be great if put that way on a debate stage. It would be an all-time great moment.

Fishing is too much work for Bernie
The ticket should be null and void at that point, if the candidate is dead.
However, Democrats have faced this issue before with Senate and House races. In both cases, they argued that the dead candidate be allowed to run as a place-holder.
In the case of Senator Mel Carnahan of Missouri, they argued that if Carnahan won, the Governor should be allowed to appoint a Senator to fill the "vacancy."
In the case of Representative Patsy Mink of Hawaii, they argued that if Mink won, the Governor should call a special election to fill the "vacancy."
Republicans argued that there was no "vacancy" because the candidate was dead and the ticket was unconstitutional because the Constitution says that the candidate must be living in the state, and dead people aren't "living" anywhere.
The courts naturally ruled in favor of the Democrats, and the Democrats won both races.

Just a thought...The election is based on the vote of the electors, and depending on the state, are free to vote for whomever they may choose as president and vice president. Remember, that they control the ultimate selection.
I am sure that there would be major litigation in the event of such a move by the electors.
The Electoral College would be prevented from voting for a dead candidate, and the 20th amendment "fail to qualify" clause would be premature at the time of Electoral College voting.
