If there is one thing this failed coup by impeachment proves... It’s that impeachment should only be used in a Presidents second term, not his first.
Trump could and can do pretty much anything he wants now... Legal, illegal and otherwise because the Democrats wasted their powder. There will be no second impeachment, no accountability, no repercussions for bad behavior.
The Democrats blew it, and now the real fun starts... Hillary, her minions and her supporters should all be very worried... Because retribution is a ‘Hillary Clinton’, and hopefully many of them will feel the pain that Trumps supporters did when they were put through exhaustive investigations resulting in petty charges at best.

What are they talking about a “second” impeachment effort? This would be an EIGHTH impeachment effort as their first 6 attempts failed miserably and the 7th was a turd in a punch bowl.
There are only two ways to stop this, one before the election, one after.
Either have Barrstool and Durham get off their asses and start arresting people, or HOPE that the Rs gain the House . . . which looks better than it did 5 months ago but still is far from a sure thing.
Otherwise, this will continue for 4 more years. Now, I do think that the acquittal has “immunized” Trump against further action by the Senate. I think the high-and-mighty senators would be insulted by another set of charges brought, and would likely dismiss before a hearing probably along the lines of 51-49 or even 50/50 with Pence breaking a tie on a non-impeachment procedural vote.

The Dems live for political war and will always fight for every inch. The way to stop them here was to prove the partisan nature of the impeachment hoax. The hoaxblower should have immediately been outed as a Biden staffer in Senate hearings, IC IG vigoriously interviewed in public, links to Democrat lawyers and Schiff’s staff exposed, etc., etc. That would have put the Dems off balance, slowed down the impeachment train and maybe pushed it up too close to the election for the Dems taste. Had the GOP Senate used their powers to vigorously defended a POTUS of their own party it’s entirely possible he never would have been impeached.
But that never happened because he GOP Senate hate POTUS every bit as much as Schumer and Schiff. They haven’t supported him against the coup for 3 years. They won’t start now because they use the coup to obstruct President Trump’s control of the executive branch and hamstring the MAGA agenda.
