It’s time to put a heavy tax on remittances without proof of citizenship or legal residence.
To: a fool in paradise
Need to start taxing remittances to foreign countries.

Trump said that at one of the last two rallies... Said tax on remittances would pay for the wall, which is what I thought from the beginning, but I agree, it needs to be done!
To: a fool in paradise
Why isn’t that seized to build the wall?
To: kaehurowing
Do you know the methods that they use to get the money to Mexico?

Usually, I’m against new taxes. In this instance I’d support a 70% tax on money wired to countries whose citizens are invading our southern border. Dedicate the $ to building/manning/maintaining the border wall.

Yup. We see them in a line at Walmart, wads of cash in hand. Walmart charges a fee. The government needs to, as well. 10-35% seems fair. That is what many of us pay in income taxes and social security.

It isn't just Latinos taking money out of our economy. 143 nations from around the world who have citizens here take money out of our nations economy. German nationals living here, Germans for God sake send back to the Fatherland some $4 billion a year. British nationals living here send back $3.4 billion. Filipinos , east Indians, Chinese the list is endless. Virtually every South American country with people living here. It's staggering. And all the while they hate us. We're the horrible, racist, bigoted war mongering United States of America, just the worst country on Earth. But God Almighty does everyone want to get here and get in on the gravy train.

How much of that $36B was earned illegally doing jobs that should have gone to real Americans? And how much of that $36B was welfare that should have stayed in the pockets of American taxpayers or gone to real Americans who are in need? Either way, I find it disgusting that the corrupt globalists on the left would support these criminals over our fellow citizens.
