More government than criminalization? Obvious nonsense - 'no way nohiw' is self-evidently more government than 'only under certain conditions.'

More laws? Government intrusion is not properly measured by merely counting statutes (or the words therein).

More taxes? Since it's not a conservative position to say that everything that is taxed should be banned instead, the relevance of your observation is far from clear.
