I don’t know if I’d go that far. But you are on the right track. Most conservatives take the buzz word “triggered” to just mean “upset”. That is NOT what it means at all.
To a leftist, “triggered” means offended to the point that violence is a perfectly acceptable response.
We see that a lot with Antifa-type street trash. They get “triggered” by a MAGA hat. So they assault the hat’s owner. And they think they are justified in doing so.
If she doesn’t strap the vest on, someone from her district will. It’s just a matter of time before she pushes them over the edge by her foul, nasty mouth.
