Hes the Arab/infectious disease doc for the health district that covers Everett. Hes been trained to think like that. Its govt overseeing lots of crap they shouldnt. Also a way for the AMA to control the number if hospitals built in an area
Supposedly started to help rural communities. As usual not the way it worked out
Other stories from the hospital describe the patient as being tended to by a robotic station in an isolation unit most of the time
The guy also had the four same people working on him (rotations) to limit the possibility of exposure to other care providers. I suppose picking the four that were the best trained in infectious disease protocol might also have been factored in.

There was an interesting article on the doctor that first treated him. When the CDC told the doctor they would be up there in a couple of days to take control, the doctor thought that might be too late. So he interviewed the patient on his travels and contacts and got in touch with the ~40 people he came in contact with since being home from China to test and monitor them.
