By bringing this up and saying that Bernie was married in Moscow (which Trump probably knows isn’t true), he is forcing Bernie to talk about it, and he’s associating Bernie with communism. It’s like asking the question, “Have you stopped beating your wife, yes or no?” and insisting on an answer.
