Pelosi and Rumpelstiltskin
American Thinker.com ^ | February 9, 2020 | Eileen F. Toplansky

Watching Nancy Pelosi and her gang of insolent quislings, it was hard not to think of the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale "Rumpelstiltskin." Power, greed, deal-making, sacrifice of children, and petulant rage are a few of the themes of this fairy tale that aptly describe the current Democrat party.

The fairy tale relates that a young woman must spin straw into gold thread because her father, a miller, foolishly boasted to the greedy king that she can. Clearly, this is an impossible task until a "strange little man" saves the day — but at what cost? Constantly trying to keep up with the demands of the avaricious king, the miller's daughter accepts a bargain that entails giving up her newborn baby son if she cannot identify the "little man's" name. Through happenstance, she is able to counter the odious demand, and the now identified Rumpelstiltskin flies into a fit of rage. In fact, in "his anger he stamped with his right foot so hard that it went into the ground above his knee; then he seized his left foot with both his hands in such a fury that he split in two, and there was an end of him."

So what does an ancient fairy tale have to do with Nancy Pelosi?

For far too long, the Democrats have wheedled their way into American's lives with sly promises and sleight-of-hand maneuvers. Oh, a bone or two will be flung, but the depressed Baltimores, Detroits, and Clevelands never improve. A recreational center may be built, but illegals bearing deadly intentions and drugs will not be stopped as they destroy neighborhoods.

“termagant” as applied to Pelosi in the article ....

I’ve heard the word before, but looked it up to get the exact definition:

an overbearing or nagging woman : shrew

2nd thought ... I heard a phrase the other day that I personally think is an apt descriptor of Nasty Nan, in particular, after her unhinged, disrespectful behavior at the SOTU:

“a walking obscenity”

Interesting analogy!

Pelosi certainly looked like she was about to fly into some foot-stomping rage!

Two things occurred to me:

The women dressed in white were reminiscent of the age-old branch of the Democrat Party known as the ku klux klan, and

The way they took their cues from Nanzi was reminiscent of the Manson Girls!

I said it here before. Democrats don’t solve problems. They create them and then the manage them. All in an exercise of maintaining power.

Back when I was told the story of Rumpelstiltskin, I was given a bit of commentary. (Homeschool can be that way.)

It was pointed out that of all the characters, R had values that stank the least. Others were after advancement, status, wealth. The mother was either lying, trying to have it both ways, cheating. Her father was a liar, who bartered his daughter like a car salesman with a clunker.

R knew that nothing mattered more than having a child. And rather than steal one he was willing to pay for it with honest labor.

That said, he was an imp and likely up to no good, but that’s not in the story. :)

Late in life, while still in prison, Susan Atkins had a change of heart. She became a Christian and apologized for her past. There’s always hope for everyone.

I believe that until your last breath on this Earth, there IS hope.

Franklin Graham's FB post today:

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.’ For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:9-14)

He posted this because he is in the UK preaching the Gospel; however, it is appropriate to what we are discussing.

I think that ultimately President Trump's benevolence will be recognized by most people and that he will be recognized the world over as one of the greatest Presidents in US history, as a heroic man who illuminated darkness with the Light of Truth.

When that happens, there will be much contrition and many apologies--and much forgiveness.

President Trump asked for prayers a few weeks back ... I wrote the WH & told President Trump (hopefully his folks passed the message on) that God was the ‘wind in his wings’ and that I felt while George Washington was who God blessed us with to found our country, Trump was God’s gift to us to give us a chance to save it.

When Trump first came out as a candidate, he had his family Bible & talked about being raised in the Presbyterian church (I think that was the denomination) ... I felt (ok, I did some judging) that perhaps he did not have a very personal relationship with God (& the media was mocking him for his ‘faith’, saying it was a political calculation for the Evangelical vote). I told my family at the time that the family Bible in Trump’s hands would be much the worse for wear after his term in office - he would need it and use it.

My perception of Trump these days is that he is in close communication with God. Pence, Pompeo & other devout Christians are a great support for Trump - a prayer is said before every Cabinet meeting & there is at least a weekly Bible study by Christians in the government. If you look at everything Trump overcame, with ALL the forces arrayed against him, his election was, in my mind/heart, Divine Intervention. I believe, with the course Trump is on, he and the country will continue to be blessed, but there is no doubt we ARE in a life or death battle for this country as founded by Godly men, with those who are the Servants of Satan. With God’s help, President Trump and we WILL prevail and ultimately, we know that God will prevail over Satan - then perhaps, as you said, “ President Trump’s benevolence will be recognized by most people and that he will be recognized the world over as one of the greatest Presidents in US history, as a heroic man who illuminated darkness with the Light of Truth.” Prayers up for this outcome.

I’ve been using “Quisling” to describe these ‘Rats for weeks. I thought everyone else had forgotten the term. Glad to see the label used on Pelosi.

Pelosi certainly looked like she was about to fly into some foot-stomping rage!

Except for her face. She is so devoid of emotion or expression on her face that she is almost in the uncanny valley. The uncanny valley is a term used to describe things that are almost human, yet in failing to look completely human manage to appear extraordinarily creepy instead. Her eyes are cold--another FReeper described them as shark eyes, which is apt. Her anger may be apparent in her voice, or in her deliberate preparation and tearing of the speech, but it does not show in her face.
