Forty-five minutes after Joe Bidens first campaign event was supposed to start on Saturday, his crowd had grown restless. The former vice president wasnt at the Rex Theatre in downtown Manchester and those crammed inside were wondering just how much longer theyd have to suck in the heated air before they get to see him speak.
In the rafters, a chant broke out.
We Want Joe! the voices said, overpowering the soundtrack of classic rock and commercial motown that had been playing on blast to keep the crowd from completely dozing off.
But no one picked it up. Instead, after two renditions, the men simply stopped. And those whod bothered to consider joining in the chorus did what theyd been doing since it became clear that the event would not start on time: they dumped their faces back into their cellphones.
This is a microcosm of the failure of this campaign, said Adam Ross, a Long Islander who helped start the chant. The energy is slowly dissipating from this room.
Bidens campaign is running on fumes. A candidate with all the trappings of a traditional frontrunnerthe long résumé, party backing, relevant experience, and steady poll numberssuddenly is on electoral life support.

He’s not running, he has the runs.
He should be sitting on a crapper.
Avoidance of prosecution for corruption.
Joe won’t ever do any time....but Hunter? I’m pretty sure that between money-laundering and not reporting all the income to IRS...he’s going to do a minimum of a year or two in prison. Course, maybe half-way through this, President Trump pardons Hunter (showing his generosity).
Oh I know he won’t be prosecuted. He’s too deep state to touch.
I was just answering as to why a doddering old man continues to run when it’s obvious that his best days are behind him.
Wish I could photoshopped. A toilet would be perfect.
Naturally. He’s full of Schiff.
Hes an alcoholic.
Even Dems know their entire slate of candidates is terrible.
this is the third time this guy has run for President, and hes never won a single primary or caucus...never even been close..ever. How he won all those senate races in Delaware is beyond me...all he does is yell at people....all very weird.

Slow Joe is just a conventional career politician - the antithesis of Trump who embodies everything people detest and hate about politicians.
Democrats think the answer to Trump to run the Swamp against him. Thats where they think theyve got him.
They couldnt be more mistaken.
“when its obvious that his best days are behind him”
Which were never very good either. Joe was just sharp enough to know to get out of PA were we was born and get to liberal $hit hole, Gov. teat sucking state of Delaware were he perfectly fit in.
He's married to a good-looking younger woman. He has to at least pretend to be virile.
And then there's the money. What happens to the money raised for a run when a candidate drops out? The FEC says the candidates can't spend it on themselves...but about quid pro quos, Joe?
The irony is shampeachment was supposed to resuscitate his candidacy.
Its failure in all likelihood knocked out the rationale for Biden being in the running.
Did the dems show any generosity to Paul Manafort? Lock Hunter up, and throw away the key.
How Biden won his first senate seat with the help of the Irishman Frank Sheeran nad the Teamsters.

And it was supposed to defend him from legal scrutiny by flipping the spotlight off of Biden and focusing it on Trump.
Slo Jo's a goner.
And have you notice how glassy his eyes are lately? He's literally bordering on dementia (in fact, he's probably on the far side of that border).
Actually, they can spend it on themselves.
First and foremost, they can be paid by the campaign committee $400,000 per year (for those running for president.) When I last looked into it, the FEC rule is that it is supposed to be the lesser of a) the minimum salary for the office they are seeking or b) what their earned income was for the previous year.
It seems the FEC is kinda okay with interpreting that as EITHER and has never (publically) penalized a campaign for paying the match to the previous year’s earned income.
In Joe’s case, that’s a little under 4.6 million dollars. That’s on top of any other income he received. (My my, he’s apparently on the Warren plan, pulling down over half a million a year from the University of Pennsylvania?)
They can also recover any loans they made to their own campaign.
