The postpartum recovery period, also referred to as the fourth trimester by many experts, can be an incredibly challenging time for mothers. Not only has a womans body gone through many changes and is recovering from the toll childbirth often takes on the body, but she also has a newborn baby to care for.
Frida Mom, a brand dedicated to postpartum recovery, set out to air a commercial to raise awareness of what women go through during this often overlooked (but extremely significant) period during the 92nd Academy Awards, airing Sundaybut their commercial was apparently rejected by ABC for being "too graphic with partial nudity and product demonstration," according to a recent press release via email.
The commercial, which Frida Mom shared on YouTube, but is unlisted, features a new mom in her bathroom dealing with the aftermath of childbirth. The YouTube video begins with a few words from the company: "The ad you're about to watch was rejected by ABC & the Oscars from airing during this year's awards show," the text reads. It goes on to say all the things the spot doesn't include, like religious references, lewdness, or mention of guns or ammunition. "It's just a new mom, home with her baby and her new body for the first time. Yet it was rejected" it says. "And we wonder why new moms feel unprepared."
SNIP
* Warning * This ad contains images of a woman using the bathroom and will definitely make some people feel uncomfortable and squeamish. Be prepared.

Does the general public need to see this or is this just pushing the limits?
In its place theyll be running an ad for a new health center that shows transgender women going through childbirth in a new celebration.
Kidding. But probably not for long.
Florida Mom?
I would not be showing that production on TV either. Maybe at medical school, not on any PG rated TV show. Medical School Yes.
Im extremely sympathetic to women and childbirth but its a bit much
Edit it down some
The young mom is so lovely btw
Bless her heart
I so much enjoyed those days ....I know I didnt birth them but its a good time even with the work
I helped at night
My wife and I went though six birthing experiences, either she hid a lot of the drama of post postpartum issues or the commercial was over dramatic.
By getting this gross ad rejected, they get the publicity without having to pay for the ad time.
They also get new fans who rush in to defend them from the “misogyny.”
Smart marketing, but not morally superior like they want us to think.
Different women have different postpartum experiences.
Where is the Ad showing a Woman’s despair after having an Abortion?
Been there.
What the general public needs to see is this issue, which women must have dealt with successfully for a long, long time, is being presented as a legitimate issue being compared with guns and ammunition which is being portrayed as a not so legitimate issue.
Focusing on being placed in the same category as guns and ammunition enables an expression of resentment at such a comparison even though FM is the party drawing the attention to it; hence, more negative energy generated towards the Second Amendment whether the viewer realizes it or not.
That is totally gross and disgusting.
and that fourth trimester stuff is crap.
What new body? The baby has the new body, and yes! the baby should be getting all the attention.
BTW, I birthed eight babies...never felt or acted the way these snowflakes do today.
I had 5 pregnancies and 3 live births. I always thought post-partum was a myth used by selfish women who wanted to be spoiled.
I was wrong.
My post-partum was so severe after my 3rd pregnancy that it scared my husband. I was like a ghost walking through my own life. He bought our first cellphones and called me daily to make sure I was okay. I imagined scenarios on how to kill myself and make it look like an accident.
Dark, horrible place. Wouldn’t wish it on any woman.
I believe it was because the two pregnancies were so close together. My hormone level was depleted. Combine that was the trauma of a premature abruption and an emergency c-section, almost losing both of us on the delivery table...my body was shot.
Took a long time to recover. We didnt try again for 3 years.
BARF!
Not my cup of tea but I'm not offended.
I thought "What did he do now?".
Xlnt analysis...no pun intended. Noticed no man/father to help...frida mom...is an attention whore. They would never have intra toilet cam....with stereo sound!.... This society praises single moms.....dont worrry...bernie will take care of you...and frida mom.
